Kochi: Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko, who was arrested on Saturday and was later rushed to General Hospital by Kochi City North Police Officers, released on bail for a medical examination regarding the use of alleged drugs.
Kerala police officials said in an official statement that the Malayalam actor appeared before the police in connection with an incident, where he ran away from a hotel room in Kochi, in an official statement by police officers in Kerala.
Earlier, the actors along with their lawyers appeared at Ernakulam North Police Station.
Shine appeared in response to a notice issued by the police, which asked him to convince him to explain the reason behind his attempt to escape from the hotel room.

This Malayalam actress Vinci Elosians filed a complaint against Shine Tom Chacko, accusing her of improper behavior and drug abuse.

Speaking to ANI, Subramanian said, “In Kerala, the misuse of women and children is increasing, especially in areas such as film industry.
There are many issues such as casting sofas, but the ruling party is actually silent on these matters and blind to atrocities for women. ,
Subramanian said that similar complaints were raised in the past, but the government continues to ignore them.
He said, “We have raised the issue several times before the ruling party and state leaders, but the government is really doing nothing to address it and is offering the facility of such mafia,” he said.
Elosians recently filed a formal complaint against Shine Tom Chacko with the Interior Complaint Committee of the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce and the film industry.
Rekha, Vikaruthi, and Jana Gana, known for their roles in the mind, Vinci shared her inconvenience in an Instagram video, saying, the actor’s behavior was not especially on the set of Sutravakam’s sets and not unprofessional.
In the video, Vinci said, “A few days ago, in a drug anti -drug campaign, I made a statement that I would not work with those I know that those who use drugs. After that, many comments were made questioning my statement, and I felt the need to clarify why I made it. I am doing this video.”
She went to describe specific events that made her feel uncomfortable during the shoot. He alleged that the actor, who was the lead actor in the film, abused him and a fellow colleague while under the influence of drugs.
One such incident, he said, the actor introduced it to the entire crew to fix a wardrobe malfunction. Vinci said that he found it unfair and difficult to accept the proposal.
He also described another unstable moment, where the actor was allegedly seen using a white powder during rehearsals.
“He was spitting some kind of white powder on the table, which was very clear that he was using drugs on the set,” Vinci said. She said that although she felt uncomfortable, she continued to work on the film as the actor played a major role in it.
Vinci further claimed that the production team was aware of the issue. While the director addressed the matter, shooting was planned due to the importance of the actor in the film.
Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce, one of the leading bodies in the film’s film industry, is now reviewing the complaint filed by Vinci
