As the series “Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar” turned 1 year old on Thursday, actress Manisha Koirala made a trip under the memory lane and recalled that playing the character of fiery Mallikzan was about understanding a strong woman completely.
Manisha, who played the main etiquette of the royal palace Mallikajan, took to Instagram, where she still shared a series, which marked Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s OTT debut.
Manisha wrote in the caption section, “Playing Mallikjan in #Heramandi was more than just acting. It was about a strong woman to fully understand who leads with determination and keeps everything together with an iron desire.”
He talked about the experience of character discovery.

The “Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar” series is about the life of Tawife in the Red-Light district of Hira Mandi in Lahore during the Indian independence movement against the British Empire.
It also includes Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeida Sheikh, Sharmin Segal Mehta, Shyon Suman, Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman and Taha Shah Badusha.
On April 30, Manisha reflected her permanent friendship with the acclaimed actress Deepti Navy and her time to work together, while expressing deep indifference and love for Mumbai, who shaped her film journey and placed countlessly funded memories.
Recalling about The Good Times, Manisha wrote: “Walking on the beach with my closest friend … I remember that I am watching her films growing, and when we finally met to work together in the merchants, she played like my mother-in-law-I was very happy. Our bond has been making warm and comfortable for years.”
“This is the smell of sea air in the twilight, the golden glow of sunset on Juhu beach, the dreams echo in the corner of every road.
“And Oh – Street Food! From the spicy Bhel Puri to Hot Vada Pavs – it does not give a better taste anywhere in the world. Every bite has a memory, every taste, a story,” he said.
