Manmohan Singh’s death: Indian film industry mourns the demise of former Prime Ministers, pays emotional tribute

Mumbai: Former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh died on Thursday after a long illness. His demise has left a huge void in Indian politics. Many members of the Indian film fraternity mourned his demise.

Remembering his ex, National Award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee wrote, “Saddened by the demise of our former Prime Minister. A statesman whose contribution to every aspect of the development of our country will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to his family.” #RIPDrManmohanSingh.”

Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma wrote, “India has lost one of its finest leaders today. Dr. Manmohan Singh, the architect of India’s economic reforms and an icon of integrity and humility, leaves behind a legacy of progress and hope.” His intelligence, dedication, and vision changed our country. Rest in peace, Dr. Singh. Your contribution will never be forgotten.
