The second challenge, says Diwas, was to choose a poem to suit the subject. “When we did not find a suitable poem, I started writing poems to suit the main themes. The poems have been written in such a way that the language remains close to the essence of the story and Manto’s use of language.

Divas, who is also a voice actor, director and story writer, became a full-time actor a decade ago and has been writing poetry in Hindustani since his college days. “I have shared my poetry on every possible platform. My first poetry session was held at Urban Solace years ago.”
