The title was announced with an exclusive first photo of Dhruv.

According to reports, Bison tells the real-life story of Kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan. However, the makers have not confirmed it yet. A statement from the makers describes the film as a sports drama based on Kabaddi that “tells the story of courage, grit and pride in the life of a young man where the entire world was Goliath to his David.” The story of a man who defied the lines on his hands and achieved what no one had thought possible, choosing sports over guns, peace over violence and life over death.”
Starring Anupama Parameswaran in the lead role, the film also stars Lal, Pasupathi, Kalaiyarasan, Rajisha Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Azhagam Perumal and Aruvi Madhan in lead roles.
With music composed by Niwas K Prasanna, the film features cinematography by Ezhil Arasu, editing by SakthiKumar and art direction by Kumar Gangappan.
