Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles on Thursday. deadpool and wolverineFeige, the mind behind the mega-successful Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), was also honored at the ceremony by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, as well as Marvel regulars Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, Brie Larson, David Harbour, Simu Liu and others. Feige’s longtime collaborator and co-president Louis D’Esposito gave an introductory speech at the event.

According to the report, Feige is the 2,785th person to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. Talking about the honour, the Marvel boss said Diversity“When you’re the guy behind the scenes you don’t expect to get a star on the Walk of Fame … that’s always been my dream — just to have a name in the credits of a movie, to have a place in this industry, in this city that I love without a doubt, without a doubt.”
Feige also attended a panel at San Diego Comic-Con with Reynolds and Jackman. Deadpool and Wolverine are the first films starring Reynolds and Jackman’s characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Feige joined Marvel Studios at the start of the millennium and has been the main producer of all Marvel films since 2007. Fueled by the success of the MCU films, Feige became the highest-grossing film producer of all time. In 2018, Feige was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar for Black Panther, the first superhero film to receive the honor.
