New series alert! Prime Video has started shooting for the crime thriller ‘Matka King’. The series is produced by multiple National Award winner Siddharth Roy Kapur and Nagraj Manjule, Gargi Kulkarni, Ashish Aryan and Ashwini Sidhwani under the banner of Roy Kapur Films. Directed by Nagraj Manjule and co-written by Abhay Koranne and Manjule.
Matka King, starring Vijay Varma in the lead, is a fictional story set in 1960s Mumbai, where an enterprising cotton merchant seeking legitimacy and respectability launches a new gambling game called ‘Matka’.

The game spreads throughout the city, and the area that was previously only for the wealthy and privileged now becomes accessible to everyone.
The series also stars impressive actors like Kritika Kamra, Sai Tamhankar, Gulshan Grover and Siddharth Jadhav in pivotal roles.
Upon its release, Prime members around the world will have access to the series in more than 240 countries and territories.
