Matt Damon and Ben Affleck reunite for upcoming crime-thriller ‘R.I.P.’

Hollywood stars Matt Damon and Ben Affleck will be seen together on screen again in an upcoming crime-thriller film. Tear outJoe Carnahan is attached to write and direct.

The film, produced by Damon and Affleck’s company Artists Equity, is set to begin shooting this fall. While specific plot details are still under wraps, the project has already garnered significant interest from both theaters and streaming distributors.

Artists Equity, launched by Damon and Affleck in November 2022, has quickly made a name for itself with successful releases. Their first film, Airdebuted in the spring of 2023 to critical acclaim and impressive box office returns. Subsequently, the studio produced the documentary The greatest love story never told for Amazon MGM Studios and Feature Such little thingswhich premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and won Emily Watson the Silver Bear for Best Supporting Actress.

RIP marks a quick meeting for Damon and Affleck, who were eager for a new project as Affleck wrapped production on Accountant 2The two had initially planned to work on another crime thriller, AnimalsBut scheduling conflicts postponed that venture, clearing the way for Tear out. Meanwhile, Carnahan is known for his work Narc And Smokin Aces.
