Meet 9 -year -old Binita Chitri from Assam, daughter of a broiler farmer who finished third on Britain’s Got Talent

New Delhi: UK’s Got Talent The major victory of Assam’s Binita Chastri in 2025 has made Indians proud across the country and has influenced Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The Chief Minister appreciated the nine -year -old for being proud of India on the global stage.

Sharing a video with a congratulatory message for his historical achievement, Sarma wrote, “Her path to dancing to dance. Many congratulations to our very binita Chitri for securing third place in the Got Talent Finals of Britain.

In the video, her name is declared as another runner-up, and she shares her experience: “I am very happy and proud of myself, and this is the best experience.” As the audience happy and clapped for him, the nine -year -old child thanked him with a folded hands.

Who is Binita Chitri?

Binita Bokjan belongs to a small village called Talbalijan. His energetic dance performance inspired him to become India’s first contestant to reach the finals of the prestigious competition.

The British show was held on Saturday night, and the winner was declared as British magician Harry Molding, while the dance troupe led Blackouts.

During her audition, Binita revealed that she dreams of winning the competition to buy “Pink Princess House”.

The young dancer was supported by the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAC), which gave him Chase 5 lakh in financial assistance to prepare for his closing. He also received support from Tuliram Ronghangang, Chief Executive Member of Kaac, and Sub -Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly, Numal Momin, Numal Momin.


family background

Binita’s father, Amar Chitri, is a broiler farm owner of Bokajan. Despite a minor upbringing, Binita’s determination was surprised. An executive member and district vice-president of All Assam Gorkha Students Union (Aagsu) arranged for nine-year dance training-in Guwahati and later in Jaipur.

Binita thanked the Assam CM for his “immense support”. He said, “I personally want to meet in our Chief Minister, Himant Mama, Guwahati and thank him for his immense support and blessings in my journey. I hope this message will reach him, and I get an opportunity to meet him.”

Britain’s Got Talent is a British talent show competition and is part of the Global Got Talent franchise created by Simon Cowell.
