They have set a long way to reach here, transferred to work in an industry, which, at that time, worked extensively on personal equations and relationships. “I wanted us to do something on our own. Lavan was not very keen, okay, because we did not know anyone here. I tried to convince him, but he was not buying it just. However, he called a day and five -minute phone calls, we decided to take a dip. His son was watching the animation movie. TurboSo it became a part of our company’s name. One of the scenes of Hindi film, ‘Jalsa’ before VFX designing
“I still remember my first office in Panamli Nagar, a BHK that doubled as an office and when we had to work overnight, to sleep. They visited potential customers with their work performance in other languages, who did not help much in landing assignments.
Vishal VFX Budget
Today, the scene is very different. The separate set set set for VFX and art direction runs for a few crores, the sky is boundary. “The scene has changed considerably … Money is not an issue when it comes to making a film top position!”
While Lavan has a degree in a computer application, Kushan came without any education except the love of cinema. Lavan first visited Mumbai in 2005-06, learn everything he knows about computer graphics and design or with the help of his friends. He then worked with Sahara Movie Studio, Mumbai. “I worked very hard to take what my brother knows. There were no YouTube videos to learn goods from those days. But once he took one leg, I joined him. Whatever I know, he taught me. My brother directed me in this career,” Kushan says.
Later scene of ‘Jalsa’
Kushan remembers why he was transferring to Kochi. “They were the early days. Industry allies could not understand going back to our homes. But today, in retrospect, they understand. Malayalam is a film industry where money rotates very quickly. Post-production does not take more than 20-25 days. The sheer number of films is also very big.”
The first film was done by The Brothers for VFX Siggle Padugayanu“One of the things we worked on was a tunnel sequence. When I start my work in it again, I think we could do better than what we did. But then it is like someone’s work, especially like the first people.” Putia Niyam Followed. These were the time when he had barely a handful of films. There was a twist around the corner as Rajiv Ravi Kammatti padam,
Kushan said, “Lavan and Rajiv Ravi had to know each other from Mumbai, this relationship made us part of the film.” Kammatti padam (2014) One area in Kochi is located in Kamamtipadam, which is no longer present. The brief clear was, the team had to rebuild the area using VFX, among other visual effects they were designed for the film. Not only the DTM had built the area, but also other elements such as buildings, horizons and citizens.
“Although the film made waves, we didn’t get much work here. We were in two minds about the release of VFX Breakdown show reels when a friend’s comment set the ball rolling. They stared at disbelief when we told him to parts of the film that VFX was.
Flipped that script. DTM became one of the busiest VFX studios in Kerala. His portfolio today claims a long list of films that he has been part – Trans, Virthan, Agra, Parawa, Ayyappanam cellum, Rorschak, Nemar, Kannur squad, Hand, Thuramukhm, Puju, Nana Than Case Kodu, Guruvayur Ambalanadayil, Ullozhuokku…. Some films come as a surprise or they have the presence of VFX.
Micro arts of vfx
Kushan laughed and said, “It’s good, not this? It’s a victory if it does not pay attention. Also, late audiences cannot notice it, but industry people know. VFX and CG are often complementary to art direction.”
Although he had earlier worked in other language films, as VFX technicians, because DTM was one of his first project outside Malayalam. DickkilonaThen she came a big thing that she was part of Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films. Kantara 1, Charlie, Virupaksha, Dishya 2, Vestial, Hit3… which they landed through their contacts or Malayali technicians working in these industries. They have been part of Hindi films Mard to Dard Nahi Hota And Strike; He has recently signed a religion production.
“There was a time when Kerala films were taken out of the state to work VFX and CG. It is a matter of great pride for us that we are getting some of the biggest Indian films (as part of the VFX team) Kantara Movies, Wettayan, Hit 3 (VFX Supervision Includes) Kochi to work. We are the best in business, as artists in Kerala! “He credits the team for the success of DTM,” these are the same people we have known for 20-odd years, the set of people from Mumbai that we hanged out. ” They are all part of DTM today. Since my brother and I have to travel a lot as part of my work, they are the backbone of our company. DTM also runs a VFX school, VFX school to train debutant visual effects designers.
Kushan explains how DTM VFX became one of the companies Hanu-man“This is how the industry works because, for example, if a single company takes the entire VFX tasks of a film, they will not be able to be committed to other projects. Often films take time, and financially it does not make sense to be with a single project. In this way, under a VFX supervisor, many companies can work on the same film and no other work.

Malayalam projects, they say, wrap quickly in comparison. “Interestingly, filmmakes outside Kerala surprise the use of VFX in our films. Which is praised by the quality of the work of technicians working in Kerala!
Even after 600 films under his belt, Kushan says that every film comes with a set of challenges. “But the biggest challenge is giving on time. We can’t make excuses.”
