Meryl Streep’s daughter Louisa Jacobson Gummer is celebrating Pride Month in a special way this year. The actress came out as gay with several new photos on Instagram and also introduced her girlfriend Anna Blundell. Did Louisa come out on Meryl’s birthday on June 22? Louisa did not confirm this in the new set of photos, where there was no mention of the Academy Award-winning actor. Instead, the new photos featured a few selfies and a screenshot of an article titled, ‘We are entering a happy new era of lesbian fashion.’ In the caption, she wrote, “Blessed to be entering a happy new era of lesbian fashion BB.”
Reacting to the post, several users commented enthusiastically. One wrote, ‘Gays keep winning!’ Another user said, “Coming out on your mother’s birthday is iconic.” One comment read, “We love you so much.”

While it’s unclear how long Louisa has been dating Anna Blundell, she has appeared on her Instagram feed several times over the past year. In one post in June, she shared several photos with Anna and wrote in the caption, “Life is so fun and cool and I’m the luckiest!!!”
Louisa is the youngest child of Merrill and her husband Don Gummer. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting from the Yale School of Drama. Louisa made her acting debut in the 2019 TV movie Gone Hollywood and gained widespread attention in 2022 with HBO Max’s period drama The Gilded Age.
Meryl was last seen in the third season of Only Murders in the Building. She recently attended the AFI Awards ceremony to honor this year’s winner, Nicole Kidman.
