TeaHe met Gala, one of the most grand events in the fashion world, is running in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, United States. Often dubbed as the “biggest night out of fashion”, the event is scheduled to raise funds for the costume institute. This year, the show is undoubtedly expected to attract attention from India, as never before, because Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is ready to make his grand start to become the first Indian male actor to run on a red carpet.
Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Winter continues to cooperate with Met Gala with the help of an excellent panel of Winter co-heads. This year’s co-presidents include music manufacturer Paarel Williams, actor Coleman Domingo, Racing Legend Lewis Hamilton and Rapper A $ AP Rocky. Basketball legendary Lebron James is on board as an honorary chair.

The subject of Met Gala has been selected according to the theme of the latest exhibition of Costume Institute. And this year, the theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, which Monica L. Miller’s book is inspired by Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and The Style of Black Diasporic Identity. On the other hand, the dress code is “sewn to you”, which indicates that it is the first Met Gala in decades that especially focuses on Mainswear.
A dress of celebrities including this year’s host committee will perform a grand demonstration today. The host committee for this year consists of names like Andre 3000, Ayo Edabiri, Rashid Johnson, Spike Lee and Tony Lewis Lee, Shakari Richardson, Ashra and Kara Walker. Madonna, Stavee Wonder, Law Roach, Zendaya, Rihanna, Lake Stanfield, Kim Kardashian, and Yara Shahidi, are expected to join the Met Gala among others. Among Indian celebrities, apart from Shah Rukh Khan, Kiara Advani will also soon follow the program. Fans of acclaimed Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh will also see his first presence today, while Met Gala regular Priyanka Chopra is set to make her fifth appearance.
