New Delhi: Musician Mika Singh called Diljit Dosanj “fake singers” and “irresponsible”, when the composer collaborated with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his upcoming film ‘Sardar Ji 3’.
Taking on her Instagram handle, Mika Singh shared a long note, in which the material was released with the characteristic of an artist “from the border” to the “irresponsible” to act.
The title ‘Desh Pehle (Nation First)’, it is written in the note, “Friends, as we all know, the relationship between India and Pakistan is not going well yet. Still some people continue to work irresponsibly. Still continue to work irresponsibly. Before releasing any material, the artists that include across the border should think twice – especially when our nation is involved.
The ‘Mauja Hi Mauja’ singer recalled Pakistani actor Favad Khan and Bollywood actress Wani Kapoor’s film ‘Abir Gulal’, which was banned in India after the Pahgam terror attack earlier this year.
Mika Singh said that it is “shocking” that despite such examples, some artists fail to understand the gravity of the ongoing tension between the two neighboring countries. He also slammed Diljit for his silence amidst the ongoing controversy, saying that he left his fans “betrayal” and “helpless”.
“There was a film characteristic of Favad Khan and Wani Kapoor, which was opposed by many of us, and yet, some still do not get the message. Is it more shocking that a fake singer, after doing 10 shows in India, after buying tickets with thousands of fans, now disappeared – cheated fans and Asahay,” Mika Singh wrote.
Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming film, Sardaar Ji 3, is receiving a backlash from social media, The Music fraternity and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) after its trailer release.
FWICE condemned Diljit Dosanj and his team to put Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in ‘Sardar G3’ and demanded action from the Government of India.
FWICE has called for a nationwide ban on the filmmaker’s passport’s dismissal and the release of the film in India, citing Aamir’s controversial stance against India and his role in spreading anti-India stories.
The film body also wrote a letter to Bhushan Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director, T-Series, JP Dutta, Nodi Dutta Producer, JP Films and Director Anurag Singh on Tuesday, in which he expressed his disappointment to cast Diljit Dosanz in his upcoming film, Seema 2.
