Michelle Morone stands with co-star Blake Lively during Justin Baldoni’s trial: ‘She was in pain’

Michelle Morrone has expressed her support for Blake Lively after she made serious allegations against her former It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni. Morrone, who is set to star alongside Lively in the upcoming A Simple Favor sequel, shared an emotional video on Instagram in solidarity with the actress amid the shocking claims and public scrutiny.

The film has been embroiled in controversy following Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and running a smear campaign.

Morrone shows support for Lively

In the clip shared on Instagram, Morrone said, “So usually making these types of videos isn’t my thing, but I feel like it’s time to stand up for someone I really love And this person is Blake Lively.” He recalled, “I met Blake in person during A Simple Favor 2, we shot this incredible movie together, and I felt like something was wrong, and I felt pain, and then we talked. Got a chance to do it, me and him.”

The Italian actor commented that Lively “was in pain. And I’m really tired of seeing such cruel and bad comments about her without knowing the situation.” He also linked to a New York Times article about text messages, Which was earlier claimed to be evidence of a smart campaign against Lively led by Baldoni in the video.

The 365 Days actor said, “So I want to link the article right here [from] The New York Times so you can understand what happened before you comment. “That’s all I ask,” he said at the end of the video. That’s what I want you to do. Blake, I love you so much. Keep it up and we’ll see each other very soon. Love you, reports Daily Mail.

Other artists supporting Lively amid the lawsuit

Morrone joins a growing list of celebrities who have publicly supported Lively following her legal action against Baldoni. Other stars showing solidarity included Colleen Hoover, Amy Schumer, Gwyneth Paltrow and Lively’s Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel.

The controversy surrounding Baldoni intensified after the Jane the Virgin actor was awarded the Voice of Solidarity honor on December 9 for his advocacy of women’s rights. However, in light of Lively’s allegations, the organization Vital Voices has canceled the award.
