‘I practice in high heels’
When asked how she has become a ‘source of fitspiration on the internet’, Miley said, “I have a very clean lifestyle. Moderation is a big part of it. My mantra, like any athlete, is ‘Practice like you perform’. So I train in my heels. The gym seems really hard, but then I have ivory Gucci slingbacks because they remind me of Marilyn Monroe. I train in heels most of the time. I’m interested in making the workout space more feminine, because a lot of workout equipment is ugly.”
On his relationship with Beyoncé
Speaking further about her personality and life, the singer, who is known for her eclectic style and powerful vocals, said that her ‘normal day-to-day’ life involves texting with Beyoncé. She recently collaborated with her on the track II Most Wanted from Beyoncé’s album Cowboy Carter.
Miley said, “I definitely have a persona — an elaborate, fully realized version of myself that I embrace as an artist. But then there’s also a level of my life that’s very intimate, sacred and private. Sometimes, I forget to talk about things that are a normal part of my day-to-day, like texting with Beyoncé. I think that’s a really lovely part of our relationship, because over the past couple of years I’ve really put a lock on my privacy and what I share with people. She’s the same way. Part of our relationship is the protection that we have between us.”
