Mindy Kaling is a mom of three! The 45-year-old actress revealed in a new Instagram post that she welcomed her third child in February 2024 after a secret pregnancy. She also shared her baby girl’s name. On her birthday on June 24, the actress announced her baby news and said she received the ‘best birthday gift’ this year. Mindy reveals her daughter’s name
The actress shared three photos – one of her children Katherine (6) and son Spencer (3) with their younger sister, the second is of her holding her baby boy and the third is of her at the hospital with her two kids. “At the end of February I gave birth to my daughter, Anne. She is the best birthday gift I could have ever imagined,” Mindy captioned the happy photos.
She added, “Whenever things get tough, whenever I drift towards pessimism, my three kids are a great reminder of the pure joy in my life. I’m so lucky to live in a place where I can do all of this on my own, on my own time. Thank you for all the birthday wishes!”
‘The queen who gave birth in secret’
Soon after, some social media users were quick to point out that this wasn’t the first time Mindy announced a pregnancy and it came months after her baby arrived. One person wrote on Instagram, “The way you’ve surprised us three times with three different babies! Congrats!!!” Another added, “How can someone have three whole babies without being pregnant in public.”
One comment also read, “You keep your pregnancies a secret!!! So beautiful!!” Someone else also wrote, “Queen of giving birth in secret.” One person wrote, “How are you so good at hiding your pregnancies!?? Congrats…” Actor Reese Witherspoon commented on Mindy’s post, “Pretty well said…”
Mindy has kept her children largely out of the spotlight since Katherine’s birth in 2017 and has never revealed the identity of their father.
