New Delhi: The excitement around Mirzapur 3 is palpable and it should be. Actor Vijay Verma has shared an interesting detail about his character in the upcoming season in his latest post. His revelation has increased the curiosity of fans.
Vijay Verma has discussed in depth the complexities of his role in this series. Recalling his experience of the last season, he wrote, “In season 2, I played twin brothers. As an actor, it was challenging to play 2 characters but what helped me was the vision of seeing them as different and interacting with each other. The biggest challenge this season was to integrate both of them into one character. I felt I had different personalities. All these conflicts are still within me. I have never been so torn as an actor.”
In Mirzapur 2, Verma played twin brothers, Bharat and Shatrughan, who have a different identity. He explained the different characters he played: “Bharat is responsible, he has the entire business on his head. He is an elder brother, so it is important to be sensible. Shatrughan is a free bird. He searches for the love he does not get from his loved ones in the world. But the thing is, this is Mirzapur, and here people are just looking for an opportunity to take advantage of themselves.”
The actor elaborates on his character’s inner turmoil and conflicts, and points out a crucial change: “Bade and Dadda understood a lot, not to do the business of barfi. But this salah love and the race to prove oneself, drowned me. I thought Dadda would be happy, he would consider me capable, but… but the mistake that Chhote made was unforgivable. I didn’t want to, but the circumstances became such that I had to pick up the gun. And then – this time, whether Vijay’s character is Chhote or Bade, only time will tell, but I am sure that he will like your heart.”
Apart from ‘Mirzapur’, Vijay has many great projects. Fans are eager to see him in ‘Ul Jalool Ishq’, ‘Matka King’ and ‘IC81 – The Ruins Hijack’.
