After the event, the special moment was shared on Miss Universe India’s Instagram page celebrating Singha’s win with appropriate music.

The background song on the Miss Universe India Instagram post was based on the iconic song “My Universe” by British rock band Coldplay.

The choice of music was apt, as Coldplay was one of the biggest internet trends in India this weekend, as tickets for their upcoming India concert went on sale on Sunday.

Take a look at the post here:

“Today I won the title of Miss Universe India 2024. I am very grateful. I have worked really hard to reach this point where I can consider myself worthy of this crown. I am very inspired by the previous winners,” Riya Singha told news agency ANI.

Thousands of Coldplay fans expressed disappointment over extremely long virtual queues on BookMyShow, which initially crashed due to heavy traffic on the ticketing platform. Soon after, Coldplay added a third show to the Mumbai leg of their “Music of the Spheres World Tour 2025”, citing “exceptional demand”.

Coldplay will perform in India on January 18 and 19 at the DY Patil Sports Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The third show will be held on January 21 at the same venue.
