Hyderabad: Bharat President Committee (BRS) leader, President of Telangana Jaggruti and MLC Kalawakantla Kavitha has urged the state government to grow the Miss World Beauty pageant coming in Telangana to the growing India-Pakistan.
MLC Kavitha said that it would be unfair to organize an international beauty competition in the state during an atmosphere of the country’s war.
Highlighting the example of the Indian Premier League (IPL) adjournment, MLC Kavitha warned Telangana of potential criticism to conduct such events, while the country is facing serious security concerns.
He called it the time to showcase it “knowledge” and avoid sending “wrong signals”.
On Friday, MLC Kavitha led a huge rally from Indira Park to RTC Cross Road, in support of Operation Sindoor and expressing solidarity with the Indian Army.
He paid tribute to Murali Nayak, a soldier who lost his life while performing his duties on the border.
Speaking on the occasion, he praised the Indian Army for successfully destroying nine terrorist camps in Pakistan through Operation Sindoor. He called for organizing such rallies in all districts to support the Indian Army.
“This is a righteous war (religion war). India never makes mistakes. We are fighting morality and honest. We have not harmed the common people in Pakistan. We only destroyed terrorist camps.”
The 72nd edition of Miss World Pagent is scheduled to take place in Hyderabad from May 7 to May 31, 2025.
Meanwhile, four airbase in Pakistan collided with Indian attacks in the early hours, sources told ANI, as tension between the two countries continues to grow.
Sources said that Pakistan retaliated soon after Pakistan attacked 26 places across India. Firing is still going on in many places along the Line of Control (LOC).
