Director Mohit Suri, who is known for ‘Aashiqui 2’, ‘Avanapan’, ‘one villain’ and others, claim a great track record in his films in his films. However, the director shared that he has no information about the technology of the process of making music.
The music and box-office collection of his latest film ‘Siara’ has once again demarcated Mohit’s position in the industry. Perhaps, what he does for him is that he knows how to catch the pulse of all the actors involved in his films.
The director recently spoke with IANS, and said that with music composer Mithoon, they would have to inspire them in the right direction to extract the best music from them.
Mohit told IANS, “With Mithoon, you just have to inspire him. It takes a little time to do this, sometimes it takes a lot of time. But once you are inspired, after that, this is just a smooth ride. I believe that when Mithoon follows you, and tells you that I will fail in front of him.
He further mentioned, “My job is to inspire my work as a director. I don’t know that Sur, Taal, Major scales, minor scales, which pay attention, I do not know anything. I don’t know how to play a device, nor I have ever learned it. I listen to music as a feeling.
Meanwhile, ‘Siara’, which marks the onset of Ahaan Pandey, was opened in India for 24.75 crores, with a net collection in INR 21 crores after taxes, an achievement, including some of Bollywood’s biggest stars, including some superstars, found it difficult to achieve in the post-pandemic age, where consumption has changed the OTT.
