Mohit Suri on Siara’s success: ‘I only wanted to cry in theaters again’

New Delhi: Every evening Mohit Suri gave two hours of time and asked messages and phones to call, who work among those who saw “Siara”, his latest drama is credited to bring back the romance on the big screen.

He is only curious about one thing: “Did he cry while watching the movie?” The film has two newcomers – Ahaan Pandey, who is still known as Ananya Pandey’s cousin and Aetit Padda – and clicked in a major way. Many people are calling it the right wedding between Suri, a director who is known for “Aashiqui 2” and Emraan Hashmi Hit “Hamari Adhri Kahani”, and Yash Raj Films, a banner such as a banner is known for his romantic stories.

“Siara” has earned Rs 300 crore since its release on 18 July and Suri is at the top of the world.

The director, who made his debut in 2005 with the Hashmi-Star “Zehar” and directed hit films like “Kalayag”, “Woh Lamhe” and “Ek Villain”, admitted that he had not seen this level of success in his career.

“When I go home, I ask my wife to give two hours because the evening show is ending, and everyone is on the phone and I want to take everyone’s phone. I want to ask how they like the film. How did they like when they leave the cinema weeping?” Suri told PTI in an interview.

“Siara” moves around with anger issues with an upcoming musician and a lyricist is trying to break his heart. The original music of The Love Story is two.

Suri was initially negotiating to develop the film, which was a follow -up Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor as a 2013 hit “Aashiqui 2”, but eventually ended with YRF. Anurag Basu is directing “Aashiqui 3” with Karthik Arin in the lead role.

Happy with the way Suri worked.

” Aashiqui 3 ‘Talk … It was very newborn. He (‘ Aashiqui 3 ‘manufacturers) asked me if I would be interested in making it. It was the idea that I had. But I am not committed to doing something until I had a script prepared. He was happy to start the process that I could not participate in the process. “Once when there was no sequel pressure or star cast, which had an early number to live, I stopped cares about the commerce. And I just made a film and made a film. If I was making a sequel, or a franchise, I was playing for a commerce somewhere like I was playing for a ‘Laets Meke It Hotteen Hottent 44 years old. A feeling is distributed.

“There are all kinds of people, youth, families, everyone has actually provoked this film. I am not at the age where I can go out and party. I did this when I had a child. I did not have children. Today my daughter brings a different kind of happiness to take pride in me.” Did he know that he had a hit in his hand while making the film? Suri said that when his producer Aditya Chopra saw the rough editing of the film, he predicted that the film would cross Rs 100 crore at the box office.

“I really didn’t fall for it, I think. I was not sure. I still loved, ‘Let me edit the film. Let me bring it down’.” Ahaan and Anit were kept away from the promotion of the film.

Suri said, “I really felt that if we tied these children with a story, a story, a song, then they have a better fight, rather than the way they look or are photographed,” Suri said.

“Honestly, this is not a new strategy. It was actually an aging strategy that has been discovered again,” he said.

According to Suri, in the old days the media was not interested in covering new people and only participated in the Big Star Premier.

“When we were starting with Emraan Hashmi and ‘Zehar’, we requested the media to come and they never did it. It is still before it was launched, these children are already being shown and being prevented. We did not want them to be prejudiced,” he said.

The music is the heartbeat of “Siara”, in which people are to hum with “Siara”, “Dhun”, “Humsafar” and “Tumor Ho”.

Suri, who claims not to have ears for music, said that she started working on some tracks before casting Ahaan and Aetit.

“I make music while writing my film. I think the whole process is very magical. You make something that was not in any physical form. But it is a great song. It can change your feeling. It can cry you and laugh and dance. I don’t know a single love story that has done well without good music.” Suri quoted Ram Gopal Varma to describe his feelings for what “Siara” has come out.

He said, “He (RGV) said during the re-release of ‘Satya’ that ‘we do not make a film, sometimes the film makes us. He has his own life, we are only part of him. And I am confident,” he said.

Memory Los has been repeatedly tropped in cinema and stories and is quite central for the plot of “Siara”. Was he not worried about the film, which is called Clich? “I didn’t go out to impress the audience, I wanted to touch them. I did not intend to dazzle them with all the razmetaz, but hold their hands and that hand could be a familiar hand. I did not try to make something different, but something that you love. And I think I did it very well with it.”
