Morgan Freeman denounces AI voice imitation of himself

It seems that veteran actor Morgan Freeman is not impressed with the increasing use of AI technology lately. He recently took to social media to express his gratitude to his fans who exposed an unauthorized AI imitation of the actor’s recognizable voice. Diversity,

Morgan’s post comes at a time when AI imitation in the entertainment industry is facing scrutiny. DiversityScarlett Johansson’s legal team recently asked OpenAI to reveal how it created its AI personal voice assistant, Skye, and asked for the chatbot to be removed because its voice was too similar to her own.

Johansson said last September OpenAI CEO Sam Altman requested her to use her voice for the conversational version of ChatGPT, but she declined for “personal reasons”. The actress said last month that she was “shocked, angry and in disbelief” that the AI ​​company used a voice similar to hers even after she refused to work with them.

In April, Drake also faced criticism from Tupac Shakur’s estate for using an AI imitation of the West Coast rapper in his song. Taylor Made Freestyle insulting Kendrick Lamar.
