New Delhi:
Salman Khan shared a Mother’s Day post on Sunday, thanking his father Salim Khan “for the best mothers in the world”.
Sharing a picture with both his mothers, Salma Khan and Helen, the actor wrote on Instagram, “Thank you to U Dad for the best mothers in the world. My world’s most beautiful women. Happy Mother’s Day.”
Salim Khan married Salma on 18 November 1964. The couple have four children – Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail and Alvira. In 1981, Salim married actor Helen Richardson. Together, he adopted a daughter Arpita.
Meanwhile, Salman recently criticized for tweeting about the India-Pakistan ceasefire, while silent on Operation Sindoor.
In his now-free tweet, Salman wrote, “Thank God for the Conflict Play ….” However, the post criticized some users, who questioned why the actor did not comment on Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army’s recent predecessor Pakistan and Pakistan-Oskid Kashmir terrorist sites were attacked.
One user asked, “No tweet about Operation Sindoor. Why?” Another wrote, “You did not say anything about India’s Operation Sindoor against Pakistan.”
After backlash, Salman removed the tweet. A fan, however, came to his defense, stated, “After his tweet, the news came that Pakistan violated the ceasefire. So it removed the tweet. Now tell me what is Salman Khan’s fault here?”
The ceasefire, which was agreed by military authorities of both countries, was allegedly violated by Pakistan a few hours after the announcement.
Salman Khan first reacted to the Pahalgam terrorist attack on 22 April, claiming 26 lives, most of the citizens and tourists. At that time, he tweeted: “Kashmir, the planet is turning into heaven, heaven on earth, innocent people are targeted, my heart goes out for their families. There is a Barabar to kill Marna Puri Kanath to a Bhr innocent.
In response to the Pahalgam tragedy, India launched Operation Sindoor on 7 May, targeting several terrorist infrastructure across the border.
