Actresses Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain are set to enthrall audiences in the upcoming psychological drama mothers instinctAs revealed in a gripping new trailer.
Directed by veteran cinematographer Benoît Delhomme, it marks his directorial debut for the Neon Production house. mothers instinct takes viewers back to the 1960s, where Hathaway and Chastain play Alice and Celine. The story revolves around their seemingly perfect lives as suburban wives and best friends, until a tragic accident involving one of their sons destroys their idyllic existence.
In the trailer, the horrific aftermath of the accident leaves Alice and Celine struggling with guilt, suspicion, and paranoia, shattering their once-unbreakable bond. Celine’s plea to Alice, “Something is broken inside of me, and I need you,” sets the tone for mounting tension and psychological warfare. The film’s atmosphere gets even darker as accusations and counter-accusations between the two women escalate. Hathaway’s character confronts Chastain with intense questions, leading to creepy conversations between them that hint at deeper, darker intentions beneath their polished exteriors.
