With eight decades of a musical career for his credit, Mridanga Vidwan AV Anand has led a single collision sessions not only with star musicians, but also on global music platforms. AV Anand, who turned just 90 years old, will celebrate his life and achievements on June 28 by senior musicians and percuansists.

Initial beginning

Within a decade of his first concert, Anand praised the musicians such as Chembai Vaidyanath Bhagavatar, Trem Mahlim, ML Vasathakumari, Semangudi, Dr. M. Balmural Krishna, DK Pattamal, RK Sirikantan and many others to bring a terrible quality.
He has been invited for concerts and lectures in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Malaysia and Singapore. Anand is also a recipient of prestigious honors such as the TTK Memorial Award by the Madras Sangeet Academy among the music by Bangalore Gyayan Society and others.
