New Delhi: In the upcoming Disney live action film, which has now been brought in Hindi as well, Shah Rukh Khan is set to return as the voice of Mufasa, the last king of the jungle and will be joined by none other than his sons Aryan Khan (Simba) and AbRam Khan (young Mufasa) as his cubs.
The visually stunning live-action Mufasa: The Lion King Hindi trailer has been released, giving fans a new glimpse into the epic story of the beloved Lion King.

Shah Rukh Khan opens up about new collaboration
Speaking about the collaboration, Shah Rukh Khan said, “Mufasa has an incredible legacy and is the greatest king of the jungle, passing on his wisdom to his son Simba. I connect deeply with him as a father and also with Mufasa’s journey in the film. ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ traces Mufasa’s life from his childhood to his rise as an incredible king and it has been extraordinary to play the character again. This is a special collaboration with Disney for me, especially because my sons Aryan and AbRam are a part of this journey and sharing this experience with them is truly meaningful.”

About the film:
Directed by Barry Jenkins, the film tells the epic story of Mufasa’s rise to kingship with Rafiki, focusing on an orphaned boy named Mufasa, his brother Taka, and their journey with a variety of unlikely people.
With original songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the English voices include Aaron Pierre as Mufasa, Donald Glover as Simba, and Braelin Rankins as Young Mufasa.
“Mufasa: The Lion King” will release in Indian theatres on December 20, 2024 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
