Mumbai: The Mumbai Crime Branch has recorded the statement of actor Salman Khan in the case related to the firing incident outside his Bandra residence.
The police had also recorded the statement of Salman’s brother and actor Arbaaz Khan on June 4.
The shootout took place outside Salman’s house at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area on April 14. Subsequent arrests revealed links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, leading the Mumbai police to take action against all those involved in the shootout under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
Earlier, the police had said that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi played an important role in motivating the shooters. After receiving the delivery of weapons in Panvel on March 15, 2024, Anmol informed the shooters about the target and instructed them to fire at the actor’s house.
As per the instructions, a planned shootout was carried out during which the shooters got a total of Rs 3 lakh.
A few days after this shocking incident, Arbaaz issued a statement on behalf of his family.
In the post, Arbaaz said that this particular “disturbing” incident has affected the family.
‘The recent incident of firing by two unidentified persons on a motorcycle at Galaxy Apartments, the residence of the Salim Khan family, is extremely disturbing and upsetting. Our family is shocked by this shocking incident.

“Our views should not be taken seriously,” the statement said.
Arbaaz wrote, “No member of the Salim Khan family has made any statement to the media regarding this incident. At this point in time, the family is helping and cooperating with the police in their investigation of this untoward incident. We trust the Mumbai Police and have been assured that they will do everything in their capacity to ensure the safety and security of our family. Thank you all for your love and support.”
