bigg boss 17 Winner Munawar Faruqui has started shooting for his debut web show First Copy. Although the details about the show and Munawar’s character are still under wraps, the picture he shared on social media has got his fans excited.
Munawar shared a BTS image from the sets on social media, captioning it “New journey (clapper board emoji).”
Earlier, on the occasion of Eid, the teaser of the web show was released to make the fans’ celebration even more special. The teaser takes people back to 1999 when DVDs were a big trend.
On his debut, Munawar said, “I am thrilled to begin this new journey as an actor with First Copy. It is an exciting challenge and I am eagerly waiting for the audience to see this new side of me. The love and support I have received so far is overwhelming and I hope I am able to make everyone proud with this web series.”
The project is written and directed by Farhan P. Zamma, produced by Kurji Productions, and co-produced by Salt Media.
Earlier this year, Munawar made headlines with his stint in ‘Bigg Boss 1’. Munawar won the finale defeating actor Abhishek Kumar in the top two. In an interview with ANI, Munawar said that he was confident about his victory. “My heart was beating very fast but somewhere it was saying that I will be the winner. My fans have always supported me and whenever I fell behind, they held my hand and pulled me up, so I am very grateful.”
