New Delhi: After a stellar run in theatres, the horror-comedy sensation ‘Munjya’ starring Abhay Verma and Sharvari Wagh is all set to make its much-awaited debut on television. The film, which has grossed over 130 crores worldwide, will air its Worldwide TV First Premiere on Star Gold on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 8 pm.
‘Munjya’ has captivated audiences with its unique blend of horror, comedy and folklore, establishing itself as one of the biggest hits of the year. The film’s success is bolstered by an engaging narrative that blends horror folklore with humour, giving it a distinct identity in the 2024 cinematic landscape.
Ahead of the TV premiere, lead actor Abhay Verma launched a special promotional campaign titled ‘Hunt for Munjya’. Verma roamed the streets of Mumbai exploring the haunted areas of the city, which inspired the eerie atmosphere of the film. His journey through the supernatural hotspots of Mumbai added an authentic touch to the creepy yet humorous story of the film.
Reflecting on the experience, Varma expressed his excitement for his TV debut, saying, “Munjya holds a special place in my heart, and I am thrilled to let the audience experience it on TV. Set against the backdrop of haunted peepal trees and forbidden romance, ‘Munjya’ is the story of Bittu, played by Verma, who finds himself entangled in a mysterious tale that connects the past and the present. Starring Bela is Sharvari Wagh, who delivers both charm and wit, carrying forward this thrilling tale of thrills and laughter.
