Gang wars were frequent in Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) in the 1990s. Newspaper headlines at the time focused on the underworld. Murshid, directed by Sharwan Tiwari, centers on a one-time criminal who escapes from the underworld but after a long time, finds himself back there by fate.

The story mainly revolves around Murshid (KK Menon), a former mafia don who returns to the world of crime after his son is in danger and faces death threats. . the story
The protagonist of the story is Murshid Pathan (KK Menon), a famous underworld don of Mumbai in the 1990s. Despite having two biological children, she decides to adopt Kumar Pratap (Tanuj Veerwani), who was an orphan and grows up to become a police inspector. He decides to leave the underworld because he feels that he is responsible for the death of his eldest son. Given the circumstances, Zakir Hussain’s character replaces Farid Murshid and starts ruling Mumbai.
Murshid’s biological child joins Farid’s gang and becomes embroiled in a larger conspiracy. Given the circumstances and the worry of losing another son, Murshid was forced to reestablish his ties to the underworld. Farid, the enemy, has now risen to the same level that Murshid was earlier. Will this competition end? Will Murshid be able to bring back his little son? You must watch this series to know the answers to these questions.
Directing and writing
Writer and director Shravan Tiwari seems to have worked hard to create a realistic feel to the plot. He deserves credit for appointing the right people to the right positions. This multi-layered web series focuses on several historical periods and will constantly move between the past and the present, bringing a mix of mysteries and narrative twists that will surprise you.
However, the juggling of the timeline seems confusing at places. Parts of the plot can drag a bit, but each episode ends with an interesting tease for the next episode. The dialogues and punchlines are really amazing. Even if the author is not trying to elevate the mafia don, such personalities attract the readers.

Actor Kay Menon is the main attraction in this series. He justifies Murshid Pathan’s gangster status. From the way he speaks his dialogues to his looks, everything about him seems real. He did an absolutely amazing job. However, actor Tanuj Veerwani also left an incredible impression on the audience with his acting. However, whenever they work together, Menon always steals the show from the actor. Anang Desai, Rajesh Shingarpure, Karamveer Chaudhary, Zakir Hussain and other actors have also played their roles well.

All things considered, filmmaker Shravan Tiwari has tried his best to rival Bollywood’s best gangster drama. Tanuj Veerwani, KK Menon and Zakir Hussain are the backbone of this series. He has enthralled the audience with his brilliant acting and has kept those characters alive. If you love gangster drama then this series is perfect for you.
