One reason is that Mithoon is called the master of Melody. For nearly 20 years, he has created a soundtrack of modern love in Bollywood – 2013 hit Aashiqi 2 With ‘tumor hi ho’ Sanam re And ‘How much you and we we’ (Kabir SinghHis songs have become favorite for those who are in love or dealing with heartbreak. Despite fame, Mithoon lives on the ground. “I am just a seeker,” he says on the phone. “No one knows the truth for their art that it is a gift from above.”
Now, with your first independent album Master of MelodyHe is stepping out of the film format to provide more individual collections to listeners. “This idea came from T Series” Bhushan Kumar, “he shares. “My music has a certain cloth. Melody has always played a central role in my relationship with the audience. Bhushan felt that we should make something that celebrates the lot of clothes that is unexpectedly.”

Including six songs, the album is less about the experiment and more about immersion. “I wouldn’t call it an experiment,” he makes it clear. “This is more of an indulgence. Without the obstacles of the cinematic story, I can only be myself.”
Lighter
Music moves deep in the blood of Mithoon. As the son of composer Naresh Sharma and the nephew of Pyarelal (mythological Laxmikant-Pyrelal pair), he inherited more than just music genes, inherited a rich heritage. “It gave me discipline and concrete training, both Hindustani classical and western signal systems,” they say. “But the legacy cannot give you your message. He told the stories as a musician and as a lyricist. The dual role adds emotional depth to his songs, making them feel less like compositions and more like interaction. “Music is a feeling, not only sound,” they say. “Sometimes the melody comes first, sometimes the word. Writing my own songs helps me to finish the song fast, this is a complete expression.”
A large part of Mithoon’s visit is associated with filmmaker Mohit Suri, which he credits for encouraging his song writing. His creative bond continues with the upcoming film SayaraA project that marks Suri’s first cooperation with Yash Raj Films. “The music will be out the next week,” Mithoon revealed. “This is our best, not in sound, but in emotion.”
Launching Arijit
Then Arijit Singh is, whose career is inseparable from the early point of view of Mithoon. “When I first heard Arijit, I did not want someone to impress me, I wanted someone to express the spirit. He did so. No filter, just raw honesty.” But he refuses to take credit for the singer’s meteor growth. “I just do my job – correctly matches the right song.”
Many compositions of Mithoon take a spiritual weight that listeners connect at the emotional level. Asked where he comes from, he stops before answering. “I believe that spirituality is not removed from everyday life. Honesty in love, in service, in work – this is also spiritual. Whatever comes from a clean heart is spiritual.”
This belief turns into their music, which mixes Indian classical elements with modern sounds – sometimes without diluting the soul. “I am not a purist,” he believes. “But I’m feeling. Whether merging the raga with western harmony or choosing a silence on the sound, it is all about the impulse.”
Life beyond the studio
Although he lives in music and breathes in music, Mithoon revealed that his domestic life, especially with singer-wife Palak Mulehal, is fresh. “People believe that we are always discussing music. But at home, we talk about history, travel, languages; music is only one aspect of life, and we try to keep it in this way.”

Music was never a career option for Mithoon, it was a calling of heritage and early inspiration -shaped. Asked if he ever considers another path, he responds without hesitation. “No, not really. It was something that I had inherited from my father. I always wanted to be like him,” he says. “From a young age, I wanted to be a musician.”
Master of Melody is just the beginning. Mithoon has a series of concerts this year to bring these non-film songs on stage. with SayaraHe is ready to return to the big screen with another emotional score.
