Soulful devotional music was also presented in this festival.

For the past 25 years, the Visankeerthali Trust has been organising Lakshmi Narasimha Jayanti in Delhi before moving to Chennai three years ago. The trust was founded in 1969 by V.P. Shastrigal. Delhi Shankara Bhagavathar, son of Shastrigal, is currently its managing trustee. He is known for his ability to express bhaavam in devotional verses.

This year’s festival was attended by Raja Rajeshwari Peetham, Ramanand Saraswati Swamigal of Madurai and Pudukottai Narasimhan Bhagavathar. Other eminent Bhagavaths who participated in the festival included Mumbai Sundararaman, Thanjavur Thyagarajan, Seerkazhi Sattanathan, Govindapuram Gyaneshwara, Mohanur Srikanth Koundinayan, Melarcode Ravi and Erode Rajamani.

The Namasankeerthana concluded with Sita Kalyanam and Lakshmi Nrisimha Kalyanam performed by Sankara Bhagavathar.

During his discourse, Dushyant Sridhar described the splendour of Narasimha and the devotion of Prahlada. On this occasion, he was honoured with the title of Dharma Sanrakshana Kainkarya Ratna, while Bhagavat brothers Vijayakrishna and Balaji were honoured with Namasankeertana Kainkarya Ratna. The felicitation ceremony was presided over by Thanjavur Samasthanam chief Rajashri Babaji Raje.

The trust has also published books like Bhajanamritam, Sita Kalyanam, Radha Kalyanam, Rukmini Kalyanam, Siddhi Buddhi Kalyanam, Meenakshi Kalyanam and Valli Devasena Kalyanam. The books written in Tamil also have compositions in Sanskritam, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Marathi. The trust plans to publish these publications in Devanagari script as well.
