Mumbai star The story of Dev tells (starred by Avenav Mukherjee), a young man from a coastal village in Maharashtra who dreams of becoming a star. Only with his raw talent and a little cash, he reaches Mumbai, hoping to win a dance competition. Although this style is first detected, Nadir believes, each storyteller has his own view and says: “The first thing is to tell the story and interestingly, but, different modes can be used. Making a memorable moment on stage is pure bliss for a director.”

A big emphasis was in choosing the right dancers. Avantika worked with guest choreographer Uma Dogra (Kathak), Vivaran Dhasman (Hip-Hop) and Krutika Mehta (Bollywood). Bahl says, “This effort was to bring various styles together, as contradictory within the vast structure of contemporary dance. Mumbai star Also catch the spirit of the city, we wanted the movement to represent people from all areas of life. ,

Avantika shares that choreography was powered by Dhruv’s music compositions. “It was exciting and challenging that to find a way to find a way for various dance forms and to lend to tell themselves to tell the story, without breaking the overall rhythm of the piece.”

The dancers come with intensive training in many forms. Avantika said in detail: “They are all artists, teachers, and choreographers, in some cases. It was a pleasure to be in a room filled with dancers, who bring enthusiasm, soul and patience, ready to push the boundaries and bring their own attitude. For the actors, we have ensured that they too could be familiar with the movement wokbulary.”

Nadir reiterated that this effort was to bring it to the dancers which could have been compatible with other styles. “For example, Arushi is the Nigam, who plays the role of Koel. He is a Balarina, which also does contemporary and jazz. But, here she also has a lot of Kathak, which was new to him. So the training was harsh. No one can master a dance form in a few days, but can have mastered choreography for a special sequence.”
