Joining forces with bassist Siddharth Rajan and forming the core duo of the band, they released their debut EP thinking ahead of time in 2023, offering his rock-fueled perspective on identity, confidence and more.

The band said in a statement, “Purple Cassette is all set to bring their explosive and energetic punk rock sound to the Beera Taproom in Koramangala. Metal is aplenty this week, for the second edition of the gig series Modern Machines. The lineup includes all local metal and rock-informed bands, topped by Space Is All We Have, an alt-rock/nu-metal informed band that has been around since 2014.
Supporting international bands Tesseract and Karnivool’s recent show in India, the event description states, “They combine existential lyrical themes with a powerful live set, making it an aural and visually mesmerizing experience for the audience.”
Another big attraction at the event are modern metallers Casetravid. They released their single ‘The Third Eye’ earlier this year and are working on a debut album. An event description about the band reads, “Conceptually, the band writes about things that reflect the process of embracing individuality, knowing oneself. Sound-wise, their music is a blend of brutal, progressive and melodic aspects of metal’s sub-genres, with lyrical content exposing religion, political and social evils that everyone can relate to.”
The lineup includes New Delhi-based prog band Coordinates, Bengaluru-based post-hardcore band Frostcraft, progressive/alt rock and metal act Sapien Error, and metalcore band Hope Awake.
