A new initiative of the Music Natak Academy in its annual award nomination process has raised eyebrows in the world of performing arts. Notice urges artists who want to receive this prestigious award in the field of art, go online and assimilate themselves. Earlier this process was based on the recommendations of fellow artists and award winners.

According to the new initiative, enrollment by earlier award winners will also have to be made online. SNA Awardee and Stalwart Hindustani singer, PT Sajan Mishra are doubted about Parivartan. “Expecting senior musicians is not a practical idea to make recommendations through a cumbersome online process. I think it would be ideal for members of SNA Committee to choose artists for awards.”

SNA Chairperson, Sandhya Purecha defended the initiative, saying, “This is the first time in the history of more than 70 years of the Academy Awards that this decision has been taken. Earlier, there was no support for the artists who were unknown.

Another couple feature is to include the YouTube link for a display in enrollment form. Sandhya says, “These arts are performing, so one must ensure that the nominee is still an artist. Now it is mandatory for an artist to maintain a YouTube link. Especially there was opposition from theater artists, but the rules stand up.”

The selection process will go through 72 members of the General Committee and Advisory Committee. The four-layered process will investigate the enrollment in depth, which will include more time-taking processes-Hopefully, in the emergence of ‘hair’ (gem ‘(gem), repeats the evening.

A major mess, Sandhya is expected, may be from senior artists, who can hesitate to enroll themselves for the award. Veena Exponent and SNA Awardee, Jayant Kumarash, feel: “My generation of musicians is used to be called and honored by an organization. Our generation feels that whatever we have done is not enough. Nomination is different for a job; This nomination will require a repatriation in the idea.”

Sandhya feels that the authorities are deputed to the authorities to join the artists to facilitate self-promotion. She says, “In the areas of more remote, artists are not so familiar with the Internet, so I have deputed people to join and help them. I am taking daily reports about how many artists have been contacted. The prize is ‘focus’ for the artists, but the process has been extended to more.”

The perspective of senior dancer-choreographer Malvika Sarukai represents the major perspective of fellow artists. She says, “Personally, I wondered seeing that SNA announced a self -nomination initiative. In cases where artists are not well known that this method can help help. However, for most parts, I do not look at the purpose of nomination. The important part is in the hands of the selection committee and the process of selection is needed to be based on respect, contribution and expertise.”
