Nandamuri Balakrishna made Urvashi Rautela uncomfortable while recreating the song Dabidi Dibidi? Netizens criticized the actor

Mumbai: Actress Urvashi Rautela, who starred opposite South superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna in the recently released Daku Maharaj, has found herself at the center of a social media storm. A video of the pair recreating the viral Dabidi Dibdi song from the film has gone viral, which has sparked controversy due to its strangeness.

In the video, which was shared to celebrate the film’s huge opening day collection of ₹56 crore at the box office, Urvashi is seen quite uncomfortable while performing the signature hook step of the song with Balakrishna. The actor’s exaggerated efforts to recreate the atmosphere did not go down well with netizens, who are continuously trolling him. Many criticized Balakrishna for his behaviour, with social media platforms flooded with comments calling him “thurki” (pervert).

The video received mixed reactions online. While fans celebrated the commercial success of the film and the song’s huge achievement of crossing 20 million views in just a few days, others took issue with the lack of chemistry between the two actors. One user commented, “Urvashi looks very uncomfortable, it is written all over her face,” while another said, “Balakrishna’s actions are embarrassing to watch. Why even make such an effort?”

Despite the criticism, Urvashi has chosen to focus on the song’s popularity and the film’s box office win. He shared his gratitude with fans for the overwhelming response, highlighting the 20 million views milestone but refrained from addressing the trolling. Her silence on the controversy has sparked debate, with some people defending her and others questioning her participation in the promotional video.

The controversy did not detract from the success of the film as Daku Maharaj performed impressively and collected Rs 56 crore on the first day of its release. The film’s strong performance, even amid the ongoing protests, reflects Balakrishna’s huge fan following.

While the trolling surrounding the Dabidi Dibiddi recreation has brought unexpected attention to the film, fans are eagerly waiting to see how the dacoit chef will fare in the coming days. It remains to be seen whether the controversy will impact its overall reception.
