TV actors Nandish Sandhu and Rashami Desai got married in 2012 and got divorced three years later in 2015. In a recent conversation with Siddharth Kannan, the actor spoke about his marriage to Rashami and if they are still in touch. Opening up about what went wrong in their relationship, Nandish said, “I think it was a wise decision from both of us that we decided to part our ways with mutual consent. Things were not going well as per our thinking. Our thoughts, our vision, our temperament were not the same, so I think we took this decision in haste. We were young then, not very sensible.”
He further added, “When we started living together after marriage, the compatibility issue came up and we realised that we were not compatible with each other. When the separation happened, I felt that everyone was pointing fingers at me. Everyone was looking at me like a criminal. Such things were being said about me in the media that I am physically abusive, I am a Casanova. I started feeling trapped. And this also affected my professional decisions.”
Nandish also revealed that his ex-wife Rashami Desai never defended him, which strained their relationship. He said, “We are not friends because whatever she said in the interview hurt me a bit and I thought there is no point in talking about it when I am maintaining dignity. I never said anything bad about it.”
