Remember Natalie Portman and Rihanna’s viral conversation at Paris Fashion Week a few months ago? Natalie says it was “a pivotal moment” in her life.
Natalie Portman is a huge fan of Rihanna! The Academy Award-winning actor opened up about meeting the pop singer on a new episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, when she called the actor “one of the hottest girls in Hollywood.” Natalie explained how much she needed this compliment at the time as she was going through a difficult divorce. “It was an amazing experience for me. I think every woman going through a divorce needs to hear Rihanna tell them she’s a bad woman. It was exactly what I needed,” Natalie said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Jimmy Fallon then showed a video of the two meeting, after which the actor said, “That was an important moment in my life.”

Natalie met Rihanna at Paris Fashion Week in January, when the two were attending Christian Dior’s fashion show. The two hugged, and Rihanna said, “I’m a huge fan of yours. You’re one of the hottest girls in Hollywood.” The actor was shocked, and responded, “Excuse me? I’m going to faint. I’m going to faint. I love you, and I listen to your music all the time and you’re literally a queen.”
Natalie also shared a photo from the day in which the two were seen hugging. She wrote in the caption, “Still haven’t gotten over this…

Natalie has filed for divorce from her director-choreographer husband of 11 years, Benjamin Millipede, whom she met on the set of Black Swan, the 2010 film that earned the actor an Academy Award for best actress. They have a 12-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter.
She will next be seen in the TV series Lady in the Lake.
