Nawazuddin Siddiqui shaped her career in her early days: “I quit my job and started doing theater”

Nawazuddin Siddiqui opened about how his early days as a science student impressed his journey in the acting world.

Referring to his theater experiences before fame, Siddiqui shared how his commitment to craft, free from modern distractions such as the Internet, helped shape his acting skills.

He also discussed the impact of a Russian theater director, Valentine Tapley, whose method of acting techniques played an important role in refining their vision for serious roles. Siddiqui’s insight offers a glimpse in the foundation of its successful career in cinema.

Nawazuddin told IANS, “From the days of theater, my first memory is that I was a science student and working in a chemical factory.

He said, “My first relationship with theater was through Gujarati plays. There were 3-4 major plays, complete-length, and I played small roles. Then, someone advised me to try a Hindi theater, so I went for training for the National School of Drama in Lucknow and Delhi. I have many memories, no internet since that time.”

Siddiqui said more in detail, “I remember that at that time, every person associated with the theater kept practicing theater, not stuck on his phone, which you don’t see anything today. Therefore, God was thankful to God, we were at a time when there was no internet and there are many beautiful memories for all these distractions. I think I had a lot of comedy in the third year.”

Siddiqui mentioned, “And it was there that I got my first serious role, and this process was very difficult. It was my first serious game, with a serious character. From there, I probably started receiving acting tips, because he was a wonderful theater director, and he performed us through method acting.”
