House Arrest, which began streaming on 11 April 2025, has been marketed as an unfolded version of popular captive reality format such as Bigg Boss and Lock UPP. Hosted by former Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan, 12 participants -nine women and three men were locked inside a luxury villa, with a series of controversial works.
A specially criticized section shows Khan instructing contestants to display sexual positions, inspiring serious backlash online. In another moment, when a female contestant expressed unfamiliarity with a special act, Khan allegedly asked other participants to implement it on camera.
Amid growing public concern, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyka Chaturvedi took it in X, “I have raised it in the standing committee that apps like Ulu and Alt Balaji have succeeded in avoiding the ban on pornographic materials I & B. I am still waiting for their response.”
