The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken cognizance to harass the video clip from the latest web series house arrest of the ULLU app, forcing women participants to do sexually clear work sexually on camera. The Commission has condemned the show to promote the show which is called “Sexual forced under the guise of entertainment”.
In a clip of April 29, 2025, now widely shared on social media, hosts Ajaz Khan, despite his visible inconvenience and refusal, has been seen pressing the contestants to take out intimate scenes and ignores. The NCW stated that this material was “deeply disturbed” and a clear violation of women’s consent and dignity.
“Such pornographic and exploitative materials cannot be allowed to be passed as entertainment,” said Vijaya Rahatkar, president of NCW. “All digital platforms should be careful to not overcome moral boundaries or to control the trauma of force.”
The Commission said that if these allegations are confirmed, the Acts can attract serious punitive action under the Indian Justice 2023 and Information Technology Act, 2000. It has issued summons to the owl app CEO Vibhu Aggarwal and hosts Ajaj Khan, they have been asked to appear before the Commission on 9 May.
Mystery said, “Repeating the need for accountability in digital content creation,” material creators and platform heads should be careful not to normalize misunderstandings or reduce the principles of consent. Media which objects or pressure in compromise situations will withstand results. ,
This is not the first time NCW has stepped. The Commission had earlier called Ranveer Allahbadia affected for materials considered derogatory towards women. Now, it is urging all OTT platforms and material creators to maintain decency and validity in digital space.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra State Women’s Commission has also taken action. Chairperson Rupali Chirankar has written to the Director General of Police to the Director General of Police, seeking immediate ban on house arrest and legal action under several laws including the IPC and Women (Prohibition) Act.
“Materials are highly derogatory and exploit women. Such shows should be banned, and those responsible people should face results,” the C consolidation said.
NCW concluded its statement that it confirmed that it would be cautious against any form of women’s digital exploitation, insisting, “being careful is not an option, it is a responsibility.”
