Rajkummar Rao was awarded the Best Actor of the Year award at NDTV’s Indian of the Year Awards 2024. Rajkummar was on a roll this year with back-to-back interesting projects. After receiving the award, Rajkumar revealed that he enjoyed playing the character of Srikanth Bolla in the film and shared the importance of facing challenges to break the monotony. Rajkumar and Srikanth also engaged in a fun banter.
Srikanth Bolla jokingly told Rajkumar Rao, “I snatched my opportunity otherwise I would have played myself. (You stole the opportunity otherwise I would have played this role myself).” On this the actor laughed and said, “No please let us do some work too, if you do everything then what will we do?(No please, let us also do some work. If you do everything then what should we do?)”. Srikanth replied that he would compete with Rajkumar in the sequel 2 of the film.We will see who will get the opportunity and whose look will be better.(Then we’ll see who gets the chance and who has better looks.)” Rajkumar agreed to the funny request.
Srikanth Bola also highlighted how Rajkummar Rao did complete “justice” to playing the reel-life Srikanth in the film. “He stayed in character all the time,” he said.
