The award was presented to her by none other than renowned actress Asha Parekh, along with Savita Chhabra, Founder, Board Advisor and CSR Head of Strix India. As she accepted the award, Shalini took a moment to reflect on her journey, which was anything but conventional. When asked how she remains so authentic, Shalini’s answer was both simple and profound. “The secret behind this is that I do a lot of work in a day. So, I don’t have time to rehearse anything. So, I do whatever is in my mind, whatever happens at that moment.” She added, laughing, “And if I rehearse myself, there’s no point in it, right? It’s very simple.”
“I’m a lifelong learner and I think you’ll just have to wait and see,” said Shalini Pasi.
Talking about her upcoming projects, Shalini Pasi revealed, “Also, I want to use this platform which is huge for the work that I am doing for UNICEF and the Art Foundation. So, my real vision is to use all this fame and love that I am getting to reach out to people to support Indian contemporary arts and crafts in our country.
Shalini Pasi said that her goal is not only to raise awareness but also to use her influence to bring about concrete change, which is close to her heart. On being labeled as a breakout celebrity, Shalini said, “I don’t know, I was very happy where I was, my friends, family and people I worked with knew how much I care about whatever I do. And it also takes a lot of personal courage to get on a big stage and I think when the time is right, you don’t really have to push for things. , and Asha Parekh is just standing there.
Talking about Asha Parekh, Shalini Pasi couldn’t stop herself from talking about the great actress whom she has admired for a long time. “I mean, it’s such a coincidence that I’ve admired you since I was a kid and now I’m getting this award from you. I must say that Asha Parekh has been such an inspiration. Not that I have achieved anything in the film world, but I like her looks, her grace, her dancing, her hairstyle, her eyeliner and her beauty and everything. I’m completely obsessed with her.”
