Indian filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan is returning to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival with his second film, ‘Homebound’, which has achieved a place in the United Nations’s fixed relationship section this year. The official lineup for the 78th edition of the festival was scheduled to run from 13 to 24 May at French Riviera, declared on Thursday.
Supported by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions in collaboration with Varun Grover and Somesh Mishra, the film has a special appearance by Ishaan Khatar and Vishal Jethwa, Johvi Kapoor. Celebrating the achievement, Dharma Productions resorted to social media to congratulate the entire team.
Ghaywan’s ear journey began in 2015 with its multi-committee and first ‘Masan’, which also premiered in the same category. Bold, known to spotlight the original sounds, some honor sections of the United Nations traditionally highlight the early works of filmmakers.

Ear 2025 – A star -staded affair
This year’s ears are taking shape as a star-staded affair. Described as the first true post-strike version by some people, the festival established a powerful lineup of the American auto-established American auto. Connecting the enthusiasm, Tom Cruz has been designed to make a highly anticipated return in the Cannes with ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Recking’, ‘Top Gun: Mavriick’ three years after his memorable appearance for Maundi.
Festival Artistic Director Theory Framx shared with President Iris Nobloch, shared that the selection team got a record 2,909 submission this year. While the main lineup is detected, the ears traditionally keep the door open for the last minute additions in their classes.
Frequent French actress Juliet Binoche will lead the jury this year, and veteran actor Robert de Niro is ready to receive the honorary Palme D’Or, strengthened the 2025 version as a celebration of both global cinema and mythological talent.
