Neha Bhasin has shared an insight into her health in a detailed social media post and how she is battling PMDD and OCPD.
Singer Neha Bhasin has opened up about suffering from premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder in a long social media post. She also wrote that the doctor diagnosed her with fibromyalgia and while the diagnosis happened two years ago, she knew for a long time that she was not in a healthy state.
Bhasin began her post on Instagram by writing, “There is so much I want to say but I really don’t know where to begin or how to sum up the helpless hell I am experiencing. After knowing for years that something was wrong, finally today a medically more aware diagnosis (on paper for 2 years, I’ve known since I was 20) which led to the right treatment for mental and hormonal disorders and with all this came a huge realisation and then the acceptance that at least for now my nervous system feels broken..”
The singer explained her symptoms as including fatigue, body aches, mental anguish, anxiety, periodic depression, past trauma, healing unhealthy relationships with food and body, sleep hygiene, re-medicating.

The 41-year-old actress also wrote about how she has been finding comfort in yoga, journaling, and other possible direction and healing, but health issues often continue to trouble her.
Bhasin wrote, “My monthly PMDD still finds a way to throw me into the same old dark hole or dig several new ones. Is this my failure? My OCPD asks. It flares up what my doctor calls fibromyalgia, which I am now also accepting. I have exercised. Danced with pain for years, performed, thinking I was just tight so I could stretch further. My therapist said do nothing for a while. Rest.”
He explained his state of mind in detail and said at the end of the note that he was “in a lot of pain.”
The singer’s post received condolence comments from many well-wishers including Sushant Divgikar, Shardul Pandit and others.
