Singer Neha Kakkar has gone extra miles to express her love for her brother Tony Kakkar – quite literally ink her skin. Amid growing tension with her elder sister Sonu Kakkar, Neha recently received a hearty tattoo dedicated to Tony.
In a video shared on her Instagram, Neha feels the tattoo ink on her arm, admitting that the process was “extremely painful”. The design has two hands closed in a pinky promise – symbolizes the unwavering bond of the pair. Under the image, their early, “NK” and “vaccines” are etched.
Neha surprised Tony with a tattoo on her birthday, and her response was no less than precious. Overwhelmed by gesture, Tony could not stop praising surprise. Touched visually, he said, “I wish everyone could be a sister like Neha.”
In the video, Neha is also heard giving credit to Tony for a major part of her journey, “Whatever I am today, Tony has played a huge role in it.”
The emotional moment between the two brothers and sisters, shortly after, his elder sister Sonu Kakkar made headlines with a shocking announcement. Taking X (East Twitter), Sonu announced that she was cutting ties with both Neha and Tony.
Read in his post: “To inform you all, I was deeply destroyed that I am not the sister of two talented superstars, Tony Kakkar and Neha Kakar. My decision comes from a place of deep emotional pain, and I am really disappointed today.”
The statement shocked fans, provoking a horrificity of questions in the comment section as people tried to understand the reason behind the result. However, Sonu soon removed the post, and since then, the Kakkar family remained silent on the matter.
For years, Kakkar brothers and sisters had shared a close bond and compelled many hit tracks professionally. Sonu gave his voice to Tony’s many works such as Akin Nu Rehna Dey, Urban Munda, then Teri Sister Meen, Ooh La La, Funky Mohabbat and Booti Shek. Neha also portrayed her sister in some of these songs.
