Months after Netflix picked up a 50 Cent docuseries examining the allegations made against Diddy, another network has announced a new project.
A new docuseries charting the fall of embattled artist Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs from his mogul-status reign over the rap industry is officially in the works. Investigation Discovery (ID), the true crime network responsible for exposing the dark truth of children’s network Nickelodeon in ‘Quiet on Set’, is spearheading the project.
Maxine Productions, the producers of this disturbing reality check, is also set to lift the lid on the alleged horrific acts committed by the Bad Boy Records founder, as outlined in a recently unsealed indictment that charges him with three counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or duress, conspiracy to commit racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
ID’s press release confirmed that the as-yet-untitled project “will examine allegations of predatory behavior and illegal activity that have been leveled at the music legend. As allegations of sexual assault, abusive behavior, and other disturbing claims emerge, the doc traces the story of this self-proclaimed bad boy, exposing allegations of a pattern of immorality.”
The announcement comes after it was revealed a few months ago that Netflix had won a “bidding war” for a different docuseries — now reportedly titled “Diddy Does It?” — produced by Diddy’s rap game rival, Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson.
This is a developing story.
