Nick Jonas chose to support Tesla founder and polarizing figure Elon Musk on X (formerly known as Twitter). Their shoutout was a response to Elon using the old Jonas Brothers meme to celebrate his automotive company’s skyrocketing growth. Elon Musk uses Jonas Brothers meme
The exchange began when an X user shared an old article with the title “Elon Musk and the decline of Tesla.” “Ambitious CEOs extracted $48 billion from their shareholders. But the future of the company is not looking good,” the logline said. But the Tesla is up 100% since Donald Trump won!
Elon reposted that tweet with the popular Jonas Brothers meme showing Nick and his brother Kevin Jonas turning a table and Joe Jonas entering and saying, “Oh, how the tables have turned.” Elon referenced the moment and wrote in the caption, “My, how the tables were turned! (laughing with tears emoji).” The discussion didn’t stop here, Nick reposted Elon’s meme with another meme in which Elon was smiling and pointing. Nick wrote in the caption, “Take us to the year 3000.”
Nick fans were disappointed to see Elon’s endorsement, with many surprised that the Jonas Brothers are Republicans after all and saying ‘ew.’ “flip it. Now. This guy is horrible and even if it was just meant as a joke, it’s not funny,” another tweet read. Another wrote, “I prayed to God that your diabetes would go away.”
“I hope that one day your daughter meets a man who treats her like Elon and the rest of his friends treat women. 🙃 Then let’s see how supportive you are,” wrote another.
About Elon Musk and Nick Jonas
Tesla and Twitter (now known as X) owner Elon Musk became an even more polarizing figure when he openly criticized twice-impeached US President Donald Trump in the recent US presidential elections. And widely supported. After Trump’s victory, he appointed Elon as co-head of the new US government efficiency department.
Meanwhile, Nick is a singer and actor. He is part of the pop band Jonas Brothers, which also includes Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas. Talking about acting, Nick was last seen in Robert Schwartzman’s film The Good Half last year. He will next be seen opposite Paul Rudd in John Carney’s musical comedy Power Ballad. Nick is married to Indian actress Priyanka Chopra and they have a daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
