Nicki Minaj arrested and fined for alleged drug possession
Nicki Minaj was fined heavily after she was detained by Amsterdam authorities on suspicion of allegedly carrying drugs. The incident took place at Schiphol Airport. Dutch authorities confirmed the news, saying, “We have just released a 41-year-old American woman who we arrested this afternoon in Schiphol on suspicion of exporting soft drugs.”
The American rapper and songwriter is said to have been fined heavily before the show was officially called off. Prior to her arrest, Minaj was seen taking several photos of the incident at the airport and she later shared those photos on her social media. When asked to cooperate by officers while they were checking her bag, Minaj, 41, responded, “But didn’t you plan on doing this from the beginning? Why didn’t you search it before you got on the plane?” She further claimed that they were intentionally trying to stop her tour by lying to her and even said, “They are being paid a lot of money to try to make my tour fail because a lot of people are upset that it’s so successful and they can’t get a shit out of me. They got caught stealing money from my travel/jet. They got fired from their jobs. They got pissed. Etc.”
