actor Nicole Kidman and singer Keith Urban have officially finalized their divorce after 19 years of marriage, with both agreeing to waive any claims for alimony and child support.

The divorce was finalized in a Nashville court on January 6, just three months after Nicole and Keith announced their separation. The couple married in June 2006 and were together for 19 years, before Nicole filed for divorce on September 30 last year, citing irreconcilable differences.
According to a report by people magazineNicole and Keith have agreed to waive all child and spousal support rights. Each person is also responsible for his own legal fees and expenses.
According to the parenting plan for their daughters, Faith, 15, and Sunday, 17, Nicole and Keith are to “treat each other and each child so that they can provide a loving, stable, consistent, and nurturing relationship with the child while they are divorced.”
The agreement states, “They will not speak ill of each other or of the other parent’s family members. They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and to be comfortable in both families.”
Going forward, Nicole’s home will be Faith and Sunday’s primary residence as she lives with them 306 days a year. Meanwhile, Keith was given 59 days a year, plus his daughters were allowed to spend with him every other weekend, from 10am Saturday to 6pm Sunday evening. Both of them have joint responsibility for major decisions related to their daughters’ lives.

The actor and musician first confirmed they were separating in September last year. In the divorce docs, the Oscar winner cited “marital difficulties and irreconcilable differences,” and both parties agreed to divide their assets “amicably” at the time.

On January 2, the actor celebrated the New Year by sharing a photo on his Instagram Stories, which appeared to be taken on New Year’s Eve, showing him and his daughters from behind with their arms around each other. It was the first marriage for Keith and the second for Nicole, who was married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001.
